about

Mørn is a small coastal spot in Halden, Norway. Its right next to the harbour and its a partly man-made outcropping of land/moor with some scattered forests and paths. After years of close proximity to heavy industry as well as being a secluded place where you can hide away, it has taken on an almost postapocalyptic appearance while retaining a very palpable magic vibe. Several times I have made mental notes about where all the trashpiles and makeshift dwellings are, only to find new campsites or debris the next morning. I also camped out there for some months as the summer was ending in 2016, but in spite of the stories I have been able to read in the rubble, I rarely actualy saw people. I still dont meet anyone there, even though i make sure to visit every time im in Norway. I kind of like to think that my own tracks and what little proof i left of my camp made other foresters think thoughs similar to mine when I see telltale stuff. Sometimes it feels as if it alters itself and even though Halden isnt a big town at all, there is definitely something out at mørn that never sleeps. A city within a town of sorts.

lyrics

-------------------

On the road out by the sea
Across the paths on the moor
Old railroad tracks hidden in the ground
And in the air and then I see

That nothing here is old enough
Or beautiful enough to have ideas
And nothing was ever born here
these are just things that people brought

And now im walking here again out on the moor
There isn´t anyone else here but thats ok
Because there is something else around and time doesnt move
Its unbelievable but its true and it only happens out here at the moor

I haven't come to seek or to hope or understand
I was travelling through and beyond but it looks like im staying
and Im noticing after years and years of sleep that im waking up
that I actually remember stuff now that I am living here at last

And they are walking here again out on the moor
There isn´t anyone else here but thats ok
Because there is something else around and time doesnt move
Its unbelievable but its true and it only happens out at the moor
